This VFX project initially began as research and development exploration of the physical properties of various types of cloth and their interactions. However, with the onset of the war in Ukraine instigated by russia, this project underwent a transformational process, acquiring additional meanings and symbolism that elevated its significance beyond mere technical experimentation.
The Yin-Yang symbol has been represented in various forms throughout history, from paintings and sculptures to jewelry and wood.
One particularly unique representation is the Yin-Yang breathing cloth, an artwork that showcases the symbol in a dynamic and ever-changing form.
As we observe the breathing cloth, we are become aware of the enduring power of the Yin-Yang symbol, and the potential for constant transformation and growth within ourselves.

The blackness, that dark and brooding blackness, it was the uncharted territory of the psyche. It was the unknown that lurked in the shadows of our minds, the secrets we keep from even ourselves. But it was also the source of power, the strength that comes from confronting the darkness within.
And then there was the whiteness, the purity, the clarity. It was the light that illuminated the darkness, bringing order to the chaos of life. It was the goodness we strive for, the righteousness we seek to embody.
Together, they formed the yin and yang, the cosmic balance that kept the universe in check.
Through the interplay of these opposing forces, the Yin-Yang symbol serves as a reminder that even the most profound contradictions can be reconciled. It is a symbol of harmony and unity, a constant reminder that balance can always be found amidst conflict.
